If I’ve been in the Apple store long enough to reorganize my whole entire blog, then there’s a problem.
So I’m sitting here in the Apple store…
So I’m gonna make PMVs the same way. I’m starting for one with my book, Stand For What’s Yours, my historical fiction novel. It’s based in the American Civil War! The first 3 chapters are being worked on and they are on here. I’m going to add in the edits later on tonight. I will tell you when. Here it is- http://figment.com/books/497760-Stand-For-What-s-Yours
The PMV itself is going to the song Some Nights by fun. because that’s the song that fits best with it. I’m sorry if you hate the song, but it’s what got me into coming up with ideas for the book! But I will explain the premise. The premise is based around the 20th Maine Regiment of Volunteers, a Union regiment that is known best for their valor at the Battle of Little Round Top in Gettysburg, PA. But I did the course of the whole war, which was EXACTLY 4 YEARS LONG. There was a lot of research put into this book, and it took about a year or so to plan. I wrote the book itself for National Novel Writer’s Month last year, and I finished ahead of the deadline! I did the adult version, and I wrote so much…over 300,000 words…ay caramba! But now it’s in the editing stage.
Back to the premise. Almost 2 years ago, my 8th grade class travelled to Gettysburg, PA for four days. Those were the best 4 days of my life, and I do not regret saying that! So I wanted to write a story about that. My obsession with the 20th Maine, particularly the Chamberlain brothers (2 badasses who deserve more appreciation by the world.) is what lifted it up. Research began, and I decided to turn it into an adventure story about them…well, you have to read it to find out!
Well, that’s all I have to say. Don’t be afraid to talk to me, people! Ask about the PMV! Feel FREEE!
Here’s my theory. The Harry Potter trio are actually representations of the other houses. Hermione is Ravenclaw. Ron is Hufflepuff. Harry is Slytheryn. They’re all in Gryffindor because they asked. In fact, everyone in that house could have been in another house if they hadn’t asked to be in Gryffindor. You have be ask to be in Gryffindor because their most defining feature is bravery and anyone can choose to be brave.
I fuck with your theory, marry me.
